ChillSoc provides a massage service for social events. We normally offer seated shoulder massages in a discrete corner with immaculate towel technique. Sometimes we also do indian head massage or reiki, if this is more appropriate. We have worked at club nights, ceilidhs, balls, fundraiser charity nights, sports events and many more. We mostly work with other university societies which is very easy to organise – contact form below. Private and non-EUSA events are also possible but take a little more organisation.
Wherever possible we try to make this a free service for EUSA societies and charities. ChillSoc provides all the equipment we use including massage wax (like oil but less likely to damage clothes) as its donation to charity. Then we request a minimum donation from each person we massage (£3-10 depending on the event) which pays the expenses of the team (transport and snacks to keep blood-sugar levels up). At the end of the night we donate the balance of any money we’ve raised to the charity which the event is in aide of or a charity of our choosing.

If you’d like to join our Charity Massage Team then please Contact Us. So long as you’ve had some massage experience we’ll give you free training in shoulder massages and support you until you’re feeling confident. It’s great fun and probably the fastest way of improving your massage that we can think of.
ChillSoc are looking for a new Events Massage Service Coordinator.
This is very social position which is likely to make you popular with everyone involved -it’s great fun being on the team, the event organisers get a (usually) free massage service and the event attendees get massaged. Your primary duty will be to contact societies, charities, etc. to let them know what we do. Then you stay in touch with these groups every month or so and when they do have an event coming up liaise so ensure that we provide exactly the right service.
